Introduction
By Dwarf

Driving games have been a favourite of mine since the early days of playing in arcades. So much so I used to think Revs on the BBC micro was the best driving game I was ever going to play, I suppose you would having played Grand Prix on the Dragon 32.

Well you can imagine my delight when I found the Vision Racer; this is the ultimate accessory for anyone that wants to take their driving simulation up a gear.

Somehow so obviously missing from the serious gamers collection of gadgets but amazingly never seen before - well not at this level anyway.

The Vision Racer is the design creation of Geoff Turton from GNT Engineering. An expert in his field of fabrication, component manufacture and special project work for the motor sport and automotive industries.

So when a guy like this wants to get a realistic feel from his driving simulations, and has all the tools to do it, you kind of get the feeling it's going to be good.
The Vision Racer spec is very impressive, precision engineered using aircraft grade alloy, seats designed and used at competition level and each unit is custom built to your specification which includes choice of wheel, colour and you can even have speaker and monitor stands built into it.

So it has all the hall marks and pedigree of something special, something with staying power, but how does it play? Will it improve the experience of your driving simulation? Will it reduce your lap times? - in the immortal words of Jeremy Clarkson - lets find out.

The Vision Racer is a substantial piece of kit!
